But in today's world of technology. People have many distractions and diversions to spend their time.
Moreover, why anyone should bother to read a book. when they are having the same stuff on Netflix? For those of my friends who are wondering the same, I am obliged to share my personal experience with you guys. When I was in 7th or 8th grade, I had read my first novel other than that of prescribed syllabus novels, which was one of my all-time favorite novels "Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone" by J.K Rowling.

Oh my God...!!!!! I will never forget that amazing feeling when I read it for the very first time. Actually, I was hooked and need to know what would be going to happen next!! It was the first novel I read cover to cover, the characters are charming, layered, lovable and immediately you want to pull on your cloak, grab your wand and rush off to join the famous trio at Hogwarts, before remembering that you are actually just reading a book. JK Rowling instantly paints vivid pictures within your minds as though you are standing before the castle, sitting in the common room, shaking with fear at the foot of the forest, or trembling with bravery about to face down with Voldemort. Although it has been some years since I first picked up this book, I always find the same excitement and heart-racing adventure as it did the first time whenever I re-read it. utterly phenomenal. It was like a door to the world of imagination where everything was possible. A world where the magic happened in the bleakest life. A world where courage, friendship, and a sense of belonging were the magic even though real magic existed. It was a book that made you feel like another world is waiting for you and every page gave you incredible hope.... Now, I know why people are so addicted to Harry Potter because when you start reading it, you can't help but love every single detail thing about it. While reading its series, I experience a lot of emotional roller coasters. My heart breaks a lot of times by the death of my favorite characters, Dumbledore, Dobby, Snape, Sirius, Hedwig, Bellatrix Lestrange, Lord Voldemort ....I seriously don't want them to die. This was my reading experience. While you read a book you can imagine characters, places, scenes just the way you want them to be. Books allow your mind to be creative. For example, say 500 people read Harry Potter for the first time. They will have 500 different visions of how Harry, Ron, Hermione look like. But when you watch a movie you portray Harry as Radcliffe, Ron as Rupert Alexander, Hermione as Emma Watson.

when I watched the movie, my heart is broken up into pieces because at some point of time it was so different from the novel. I literally hate it, when I am eagerly waiting for some scene and the film just skipped it. This is the only reason I love to read first and then watch it because only then can you know every detail of everything. When you watch T. V or watch films you are looking at things happening to other people. Prose reading is something you build up from 26 letters and a handful of punctuation marks, and you alone use your imagination to create a new world and people and look out through other eyes. Reading a book is more than just turning a page and browsing through the printed lines, it acts as fuel to ignites your imagination. As you read, you become a part of a special world that is unique and enthralling. It can take you somewhere you've never been. Reading a book is like living a story. Through a new set of eyes, you look at the world, go through the words, towards an inevitable end. Once you've visited another world, you can never be entirely content with the world that you have grown up in.

Moreover, that feeling when you're reading a book and maybe it's a love scene, or maybe it's a character learning something about him or herself or maybe it's something that you've always thought but never knew anyone else thought or felt that way too, and your whole body grows warm and tingly and there are tears in your eyes.....that. That's why I read, To feel, To connect, To understand, To have my whole body warmed while I forget to breathe.
Although whenever my paperbacks get a little damaged during reading them. Every scratch, dent, and tear represents the journey I went on. Books aren't supposed to look new, they're supposed to look loved.
Even if you had read a single book in your life, you will definitely know what reading gives. The real pleasure comes from what we read and how we read as Gilbert K. Chesterton once said: '' There is a great deal of difference between an eager man who wants to read a book and the tired man who wants a book to read".
Books are alive; they talk to you without making noise but only when you are eager to listen.
Reading is that fruitful miracle of communication in the midst of solitude.
Books help people to hear the song of truth singing in their hearts. Every book has its own story, for an instant say, some of my friends seriously love to read about science fiction, action, adventure, horror, mystery, fantasy while some like poetry, history, travel, romance, drama, satire, spiritual, comics, classics sort of books .... but I honestly think that all kinds of books are prodigious in their own way.
''In a good book, the best is between the lines''
When I finally understand the title of a book and that moment is like the sky has opened up to me. Felt the same when I understood the title "THE GREAT GATSBY"
Chilling sky with beautiful Moonlight
I love to get lost in printed lines. It makes me feel way more excited than my actual life is.
Best therapy ever
Love the Vibes!!!!
Books are the quietest and most constant of friends they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors and the most patient of teachers.
When I really into the novel, I am seeing the world differently during that time not just for an hour but for the whole day. I'm actually walking around in a bit of a haze, spellbound by the book, and looking at everything through a different prism.
That moment when you just walking around the bookstore with no money, gently touching each book and whispering, "I'll be back soon for you"
Books give you both a warm fuzzy feeling because you love it and an ache in your heart because it's over..
At last, many of you guys asked me on Instagram how to choose a good book when you are in any bookstore? so if you find it difficult to choose a book when you are in the library or at any bookstore then go and pick up the most damaged and tattered book because its damage is proof that it's been read by many people and it contains a great story......
So guys with this I end up with this post. Don't forget to tell me about your favorite book and which books are on your wishlist and also you can follow me on Instagram @dishasharma1413
