Travel #1 QUTUB MINAR : The Victory Tower

Hi , everyone !!!
Hope you all are doing good
In this post, you are going to get complete detail for an amazing trip to QUTUB MINAR.

From the air, Qutub Minar is a shimmering red marvel set against a lush green backdrop. Upon closer glimpse, it is even more spectacular, which is why I just can't seem to stay away from this historic and remarkable site in Delhi. It is the best place in the national capital and one of the most popular tourist destination in India.

"When you are in my vicinity, don't just keep looking up at me. Go and wander the space, I am enveloped with  the astonishing architecture embellished with outstanding engraving " says #QutubMinar

Little Guide

Qutub Minar is the centrepiece of Qutub Complex, the ancient boundary. It was built as a victory Tower by Qutub-ud-din Aibak who later became the Sultan of Delhi.

Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world and the second tallest minar in India. It is 73 meters tall tapering tower of 5 storeys.

In 1369, lightning struck the tower and destroyed it, then Firoz Shah Tughlaq carried out restoration work, as it is noticeable that the top storeys of the tower are made of marble.

Inside Qutub Minar, a circular staircase with 379 steps lead to the top but the passage is closed for tourists.

The Kufic inscriptions on the first floor of Qutub Minar. This floor was constructed when Qutub-ud-din Aibak was alive and the majority of these inscriptions praise the master of Aibak, Mohammed Ghori.

Honey comb-like designs under the balcony of the first floor. Minar represents an excellent example of Indo- Islamic architecture.

The Iron Pillar

It is one of the world's foremost metallurgical curiosities. According to the traditional belief, anyone who can encircle the entire column with their arms, with their back towards the pillar, can have their wish granted. But due to the corrosive qualities of sweat, the government has built a fence around it for safety. The quality of Iron used in the pillar is the excellence of technology. The smoothness of the pillar surface makes it rustproof.

Architecture at its Best!!!!

The sound of a plane brought me back from the labyrinthine corridors of history where I was lost. I looked up as a plane flew past the Qutub Minar, quite close, or so it appeared to my benumbed mind. As I continued to stare at Qutub Minar
Who somehow now seemed to have acquired the contours of bewitching beauty with a fatal attraction.

Qutub Minar is heaven for those who love photography

With a monument like this, anyone can become a #photographer

The silence of ruins, remembering the pain of attacks and sacrifice it has undergone.

So I turned to have a last look at this incredible monument before it disappeared from my sight. I saw it as it was taking a bath in the golden glow of the setting sun. It was nothing but sand, stones and marbles whatever it is, it's just because of the man who gave it shape. It is the man who uses to shape structures according to his whims and fancies. Sometimes he builds Mosques and Temples and other time he builds tombs and forts.....
Don't be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myths.
